Join GIC in Japan for our final Abroad conference of 2012!

This conference will look at the global financial crisis from the Japanese perspective. Topics to be discussed will include how to cope with the current financial crisis, how to manage the government debt hang-over, and a discussion the Japanese economic model. Featured speakers include Christian Noyer, governor, Banque de France; Sandra Pianalto, president, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; John Silvia, managing director and chief economist, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC; Takehiko Nakao, vice minister for international affairs, Japanese Ministry of Finance; Yoichi Takita, member of the editorial committee, Nihon-Keizai-Shinbun; Goro Kumagai, senior researcher, Mizuho Security; Michael Drury, chief economist, McVean Trading & Investments, LLC: Kozo Koide, chief economist, DIAM Co.; and David Kotok, chairman and chief investment officer, Cumberland Advisors and vice chair, GIC.

Please note, if you wish to stay in the hotel block, GIC will reserve a room on your behalf upon registering. Hotel fees are not included in the registration fees and payment will be collected upon checkout.

November 28-29, 2012 in Kyoto: This week specifically is the height of the busy season and hotel accommodations are sparse. We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the Kyoto Royal Hotel & Spa for two nights. It is HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED to register BEFORE July 9th if you plan to participate in the Kyoto tour. If you register after July 9th, GIC is unable to provide accommodations and CANNOT guarantee guests will be able to find their own hotel.

November 30-December 5, 2012 in Tokyo: We have reserved a limited number of rooms at the Marunouchi Hotel. The cut-off date for reservations is November 9, 2012.
